Jeff Fishbein is the founder and managing director of RJF Capital Advisors LLC. Jeff is an experienced private equity executive with twenty years’ experience in private equity investment and operational improvement. Experience includes structured financing, merger and acquisition evaluation, turn arounds, financial analysis, debt structuring, and operational value creation (Lean, Six Sigma). Jeff has experience in several industries including Food and Beverage, Consumer Products, Construction, and Health Care.
Prior to founding RJF Jeff was a Vice President with a large family office in Houston Texas. There Jeff completed numerous acquisitions of lower to middle market investment opportunities. Primary focus was on special situations and driving operational improvements. Industry focus was on food and beverage, retail, telecom infrastructure, oil and gas, metal structural fabrication and engineering.
Jeff was CEO and Chairman of the board of I&K Distributors, a $200MM refrigerated and frozen food distributor located in the Midwest. I&K was a turn-around spin-off of a national food processor. The company distributed to almost 6,000 national and independent grocery store locations. During the time that Jeff led the investment at I&K, the business grew 50% and doubled its profitability. Thus, providing significant return on invested capital.
Jeff was CEO and board member for HCI LLC. a telecommunication infrastructure business based in Southern California. HCI customers are prominent national telecommunications businesses, private business, and municipalities. HCI performed inside and outside plant services. Primary focus was underground dry utility, structured cable, and fiber optic services.
Jeff was CEO and Board Member for AWS Engineering and Construction LLC., a specialty metal fabrication and engineering firm serving the petro-chemical industry primarily in Houston Texas. The company did metal fabrication and engineering on pressure vessels, tanks, and steel structure for chemical plants.
Jeff has experience in numerous other sectors including health care, third party logistics, and defense contracting.
Prior to the private equity sponsored transactions, Jeff was Corporate Treasurer for Performance Group Company based in Richmond Virginia. PFG is a $6 billion foodservice distribution company. There Jeff led M&A activities and financing for several acquisitions and capital market transactions. Jeff also served as CFO for Maines Paper and Foodservice based in New York. Jeff doubled the size of the company with the growth in QSR distribution partners through business development and the special situation acquisition of AmeriServ.
Prior to that Jeff was Vice President of Finance for Dart Group Corporation, a multi-billion revenue retail holding company, and a Senior Manager with a national accounting firm specializing in transaction advisory services.
Jeff has an MBA from University of North Carolina Keenan Flagler business school, and a bachelor’s in accounting from Maryland University. Jeff is a CPA.
